Trento, December 27th, 2015

Resumption of training this afternoon at PalaTrento for the Italian champions of Trentino Volley. After four days of well-earned rest - during Christmas holidays-, the Yellow-blues in fact came back to the gym to start working in a period that until January 14th will be free of official duties. Taking advantage of the space given by a dense calendar of events so far (eighteen matches in fifty-nine days), the technical staff has prepared for the group  few sessions not only marked on technique but also on the physical preparation, to which they can devote with greater care.
The program of work in the last days of 2015 will provide five more training sessions over the next three days; the Yellow-blues will train twice on Monday and once on Wednesday (weights in the morning, ball in the afternoon), and will support a single afternoon session on Tuesday, December 29th. At the turn of the new year, on Thursday 31st and Friday, January 1st, then two days off before starting the 2016 with a weekend of intense workouts (four between January 2nd and 3rd).
"We will take advantage of this period without competitive matches to make a sort of second athletic season which, through the work of the functional aspects and mobility, will allow players to return to have optimum shape for the second half of the season, as intense as the first” - says the athletical coach of Trentino Volley Martin Poeder -. “During the next few weeks in fact the training related to strength workouts will be similar in number to those of technique and tactics. Without incurring travel and games there will be an opportunity to fix the different physical problems experienced in the first two months of Super League and Champions League: therapies, training with important workloads  but also the rest will be important."
Until January 12th the technical staff will have to deal with the absences of Georgi Bratoev and Simon Van de Voorde, both busy with their national teams (Bulgaria and Belgium) that between January 5th and 10th in Berlin will hunt the qualification for the Olympics in Rio 2016. There are therefore eleven players and the entire coaching and doctor staff.
